Hanaire, or vase for hanging at wall in tea room, of coarse light brown stone ware, pale translucent glaze. With dark bronze metal hanging-ring and matching wall hook. Lower part unglazed, inside and sides covered with almost transparent glaze. Unglazed clay visible near bottom, where two fingers and thumb held the object while dipping it into the glaze. With square seal imprint (unread). Japan, around 1985. Height 3 5/8 in. (9.4 cm), diameter 3 in. (7.8 cm). Perfect condition. This object is located in Europe (EC). |
