Very small shrine with inside a Shaka triad, consisting of Buddha Shakyamuni in the company of Aizen Myoo (left) and Fudo Myoo (right). Shakyamuni sitting on a bed of leaves positioned on a rock, Aizen and Fudo are seated on their usual thrones, positioned on the rock, somewhat lower than Shaka. Wood with polychrome decoration with gilded metal ornaments. The right door dated Anei 2 (1773), as the year of its initiation. The back of the zushi inscribed with red lacquer, stating the year Meiwa 9 (1772) as year of manufacture. The name of the donor has been erased, as part of the inscription on the inside of the left door has been partially erased. Paper label on the bottom: # 120. MADE IN JAPAN.
Height case: 3 1/2 inches.
Case: Some lacquer chips at back at bottom, at edges, otherwise good condition. Sculpture: Attributes to Fudo are missing, otherwise excellent condition.
