2nd-3rd C Gandharan Schist Buddhist Temple panel carving. The panel depicts the Buddha sitting on a platform with attendants bringing offerings , behind the Buddha are a pair of tree branches with wide foliage . The Buddha and platform is almost 8" alone. The piece has been repaired as seen from the back but the damage runs under the necks of the attendants and does not affect the faces . The face of Buddha has some damage . There is a lot of paint and debris residue but at a close look the figures are in beautiful condition . The size is 10.25" W just at 15" depth is 2" and quite heavy.
