Deco Czech Necklace Ruby Red Vauxhall Glass c1930's
This gorgeous Deco Czech ruby red Vauxhall glass necklace dating to the 1930's is a truly rare find. Vauxhall glass was invented in the 1700’s in a glassworks factory in Vauxhall, London. We have had many Vauxhall necklaces but never one in red! It retains a special sparkle because each stone has a mirrored back. It is 15” in length with an additional 2 rows of red baguettes that form a drape that extends for another 2”. Two 5/8” stunning carved and dimensional red glass roses hold the drape in place on each side. It is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks to any of the hand set stones. The metal on the back has a patina that we did not polish. This unusual rich red sparkly necklace would make a great addition to anyone’s collection especially during this holiday season.
