This is a contemporary, possibly from the 50's or 60's, bronze figure of what I believe is an Artist at Work. He's wearing the typical artist clothing of that period. Simsa Cho (artist name) or Kasema Shinji studied in Japan and at the famous Rietveld academie in Holland. This early sculpture from 1994 has no specific title other then "Shoerealism no title" but the artist agrees with me that 'duality' as a new title would not be far of how he felt in the time he made it. A beautiful glassculpture from a great contemporary and still working artist with roots in Korea, Japan and the Netherlands. His work is found in many musea around the world...

Beautiful and heavy (appr. 4.5 kg) bronze figurine of a proud and strong woman. It's cast in solid bronze and has a dark 'greenish' patin finish. There's an unidentified signature engraved at the base. (picture 6.) The height of this statue without the marble base is 39 cm. Age unknown. Former coll. Russian art gallery Berlin.
