Great and rare sword with Mei of possibly '2nd' generation, 17th century Jo saku swordsmith Fujiwara Hiroshige with title Sagami no Kami. From the main lines of the Mushashi Shimohara. A naginata from his hand is a rare find. Nice polished condition in Shirasaya. Lenght appr. 30"5 or 77.5 cm. One flaw at the end of the blade a bit above the ridge line. Not papered. (NBTHK papers will most likely double the purchase price.

Absolute one of the finest carvings I have in my collection is this carving of a rhino. It's in perfect condition and the anatomical details are just amazing. Carved out of one piece of hardwood it must have taken the carver several weeks to finish. Everything is as naturalistic as can be. The skin does not only look like skin it also feels like skin. This Rhino is made in either India or Shrilanka. It's 20th century...

This must be the most unusual sculpture of African art I've ever come across.It came from an old Belgian collection. I assume its' origin lies in former Belgian Congo. I'm not an expert on Tribal art or African geography but this figurine must be very rare for African standards. The patin and slight repairs and/or fillings at some places date this item to early 20th century to pre ww2. I don't know if the monkey represents a soccer or rugby player...

This is an early 19th century Chinese Blanc de Chine figurine of Guanyin. Apart from the damage to the crown (see picture)and a small fingertip, the figure is in remarkable condition. No cracks or chips where you would expect them. A small restoration to the crown will turn this statue a crown on any ones collection. Height is 15"3 or 39 cm.

Beautiful and serene Chinese bronze of guanyin from the Jiaqing period 1786 - 1820 or possibly somewhat earlier. It has a wonderfull and untouched patin.Unfortunately the riyuji-staff in her right hand has broken of at some time with a fingertip. Other than that it's in good condition. A very fine work of art. Appr. height 8" or 20 cm.

19th century. Appr. 32 cm. or 12"5. heavy. Base missing. Good condition. Nice colour. Depicting: "the old man of the south pole". or the Taoïst deification of Canopus. (the brightest star) Also symbol of happiness and longevity. (Jurojin for Japan)

A first period Worcester bowl, circa 1760/70, Precipice pattern. Plain form and well decorated. Open crescent mark. 9" or 22.5 cm. H. 4" or 10 cm. Good condition, rings like a bell when tapped with thumb, minor wear. No restauration or repair.

This is a rare and wonderfull silverplated bronze figurine of a monkey wearing a Victorian outfit with umbrella. H. 4". Very good condition. It has the "geschützt" mark on the bottom of the base. No Signature found. To me because of the mark it looks very much a Vienna bronze model (maybe Bergmann?......... because of the elegance and humor in it. There're however some French artists well known for this kind of anthropomorphic work. My best guess regarding age would ca. 1900.

This is a small orange/yellow coloured glass bottle with 4 postcard engravings of German sights/spa of the 1840's. Rare survivor and beautiful collectable. It says Hochbrunn, Kursahl, Platte b. Wiesbaden und Sm Kapelle. This suggests that the content was possibly some sort of healing well water. It has a small chip (less then a mm.) at the rim. see picture. A flaw at the bottom from when it was blown. Otherwise in very good condition. No cracks. H. 5" or 12.8 cm.

Nice and small bronze mortar with matching pestle. Possibly Dutch and early 19th century. (Lost wax method.) Nice turning at the bottom what you do not often see. Dents and schratches that you expect to find on a piece like this. Good patine and a wonderful everlasting ring when you beat it gently. Medusa heads on both sides. Dolphin handles. The pestle (l. 4")has a putto head. Mortar H. 2" Diam.4" (dolphin to dolphin).

Beautiful bronze cigar lighter. Persian lion. Venetian marked underneath paw. Little chain is not original. Other than that it is in good condition. Great detail. Reduced price. H. 5"2 L. 5"5 +/- 13 x 14 cm.

Nice and in good working condition brass birdshead paperclip. Numbered and makers or factory initials? Is missing one eye which can be replaced with a new one available at doll repair shops. Price reduced. 7"5 or 19 cm.
