| Small bronze limited edition sculpture of Peter Stuyvesant. Made for the Turmac tobacco companie's 60th anniversary by Hans Bayens. (1924-2003) The original large statue can be found in the courtyard of the Dutch West Indian co. 17th century headquarters in Amsterdam where he is standing on a fountain looking up with angre at the windows of the companies boardroom where the "heren 19" would held their meetings. Peter Stuyvesant was the Director-General of the New Netherlands in the 17th century. (now New York) Height appr. 5" (13cm.)signed. | ||
