Elaborately incised with Islamic inscriptions and arabesques within three cartouches wrapping the body. The base is flat and unmarked. The was raised from heavy sheet silver with the hammer marks being clearly visible on the interior. The exterior has a soft polish with a few areas of old tarnish / oxidation. As would be expected, there are no silver markings, but it is probably in the low 900s. The calligraphic script is very well-rendered and the overall condition is very good.

The entire surface of this box is covered with a Persian floral design executed in pure gold overlaid on steel. The interior is fitted with silk moire sections. The lid is hinged and has a lock but no key. The base is undecorated steel. There is an area on the lid that is rubbed and some of the gold is lost.

This Persian jar is decorated in underglaze cobalt blue and iron brown and covered inside and out in a thick clear glaze with a blue-green tint. It is potted from a buff colored earthenware that is exposed around the lower portion with the glaze forming a rather thick and uneven curtain above. The footring is unglaze and the base is partially glazed. A design of three stylized birds encircles the body and the neck that is underglazed in brown and rises from the shoulder to end in a mouth with a rolled lip. The mouth has two chips from use. The footring shows some wear. The glaze has a broad crackle with some brown staining to the interior crackle. No repairs or body cracks. Overall good condition for earthenware of this type.

This silver box, of lobed medallion form, has a hinged lid decorated with geometric and floral repousse work in prominent relief. The sides are incised with floral elements with a caligraphic cartouche in the front. The base is also incised with a floral design surrounded by a band of small repeating triangles. The entire box is fashioned from solid sheet silver. There is some wear and light tarnish.

Weight: 71 grams. (about 2.5 oz.)
