Beautiful and vibrant Anasazi Mesa Verde mug, Ca. 950 - 1150 A.D.

This wonderful Mesa Verde mug has vibrant paint and a stunning design. The opening is shaped into an oval like shape. This could have been deliberately shaped this way to make it pour a certain way, or it is possible it slumped in firing. The checkerboard like design is duplicated on the handle.
