Two part lidded vessel that is 12" high and is decorated with a highly detailed figure mounted on the top. The lower part consist of a two handled bowl on a flared pedestal. The bowl is studded with spikes used to depict the Ceiba tree, representing the Maya Maya axis mundi, its stable world center. A sitting Ai Apaec figure, Ca. 550 - 700 A.D.

There are two sea lion heads coming up from the top of the headdress, giving this a sea theme. The sea lion bodies are morphed into snake bodies as they run down the side of the figure.
