Anasazi Mesa Verde Bowl
An Anasazi Mesa Verde black on white bowl, and the black paint was intentionally fired to turn red.

This fine little bowl is totally intact, having never been broken, no restoration or overpaint. It has one small pressure crack.

This bowl is 5-3/4" wide by 2-3/4" deep and dates to Ca. 1200 - 1300 A.D.

The Anasazi had no written language, so we are left we our own imagination to wonder what they were trying to convey with the figures and symbols on their beautiful pottery.
