A beautiful little Anasazi Reserve Bowl, Ca. 1030 - 1150 A.D. This little black and white Reserve bowl is 5-1/2" wide by 2-1/4" deep and has a great design on the interior of the bowl. This bowl has one small rim nick that has been restored, with no other restoration. The Anasazi had no written language, so we are left with our imagination to wonder what they were trying to convey with the artwork on their beautiful pieces of pottery. I believe that the swirl like designs in this bowl were used to show the hot desert winds that they had to deal with. You can of course make your own interpretation. |
