Maya "Swimmers" Bowl
A very nice Maya "Swimmers" bowl from El Salvador, Ca. 600 - 900 A.D.

This Mayan bowl has two "swimmer" figures stretched around the outside, below a row of glyphs. The swimmers are believed to represent the "Hero Twins" and the underworld. The two figures are very well rendered and have great detail. Also has beautiful Eagle head glyphs on the inside. This is a great example.

Measures 7-1/2" wide by 3" tall.
