| This is a beautiful English hallmarked bangle. It is in fine working order. According to the markings it was made in Birmingham in the year 1882 and is sterling. The makers mark is AER indicating A.E. Robinson and Company in operation the second half of the 19th century. Measuring 1 1/2 inches in width and 2 1/4 inches across the opening so it will fit an average sized and smaller wrist. The design is on one side and is that of a criss/cross etching in the top corner moving into a scene of three swallows flying across a field of bamboo and grass catching little flying bugs. Serene and beautiful the design is beautifully rendered. There are a few dings commensurate with age to the back. Ready to wear and dating to circa 1910. | ||
