| The rich color of the amber in this piece is just beautiful and in addition the beads are facetted so they pick up the light. The beads on the necklace portion are 9mm. The necklace measures a long 33 inches with a 3 inch tassel. The amber is strung on woven silk and in between each bead is what looks like Silesian wire work beads made of tightly woven wire formed to make a rondelle bead. I did not try to clean these and they retain their original patina. The amber is hand-cut with the large center free-form bead measuring 1 inch. The amber has been cleaned and is in beautiful condition. The piece does not have a clasp and slips over the head. This piece dates to the early 1900's in my opinion and is a unique one-of-a-kind piece. | ||
