| A substantial hemispherical stamp seal carved with a figure of a lion. The stone appears to be a type of fossil agate which contains tiny orange flecks. The stone has been cut in such a way as to make the flecks radiate outwards throughout the seal surface. Iran, Sasanian, c. 5th Century AD. Intact. Size: 1.8 x 1.1 cms Ex.
