Imari vase marked Zoshuntei Sanpo 1840-60 late Edo
This is a Japanese Imari vase from the late Edo era (1840-60), decorated with floral designs in overglaze colours and gold.

It is 29 (11.5") cm high and 15 cm (6") in diameter and marked "Zoshuntei Sanpo zo" (in Japanese kanji characters) on the bottom.

It is in excellent state, without cracks, chips or repairs,, but someone has drilled a hole into the base in order to convert it into a lamp, which means that it can unfortunately no longer be used as a vase.
