A Rare Blue and White "Three Friends" Jar Age: 18th Century, or Later Kangxi to Early Yongzheng

The jar is well painted with a central frieze depicting the 'Three Friends of Winter', prunus, bamboo and pine, below a geometric band scroll around the shoulder, all covered in a blue-tinged glaze. The 'Three Friends of Winter', a subject-matter which was to become more widely used in the repertoire of early Ming-period ceramic decoration, and it was extremely in populous during Kangxi reign(1662-1722).

H: 7 3/4 inches (19cm)

 Condition: Good with normal wear and tear by aging
