Antique Chinese scroll of a young beauty with an old man signed Qian Hui An. A young woman stands behind the gate to her home as an old man admires her beauty from outside. It is signed Qian Hui'An (1833 - 1911) 19th century. It measures overall 21.5" x 89.5" the image measures 13.75" x 53.25".

Original Chinese scroll painting of beautiful pink and purple flowers, signed Shao You Xuan (1918-2009). Great original condition. Size: (entire scroll) 63" H, 24" W (artwork only) 12.5" H, 18.5" W

Antique Chinese scroll of a rooster with peonies. The rooster is painted naturalistically with white feathers and a grey/blue face with pink peonies in the background. There is a wax seal on a tag, threaded through the scroll. Seal says "Shen Shi " (named Nanpin). Attributed to Shen Quan (Shen Nanpin). It measures overall 19.75" wide by 76" tall, 16" by 52.5".

Antique Chinese hanging scroll of a "Courtesan Playing the Flute" signed Qiu Ying. This painting is of two courtesans waiting to entertain the emperor. The emperor would be seated in front of a screen of dragons. The empress would be seated in front of a scene with phoenixes. The courtesan on the right plays the flute while the courtesan on the left holds a fan. The skill of Qui Ying can be seen in the rendering of the sheer quality of the fan, the courtesan's sleeve is visible behind it...

Hand carved with images of dragons and lotuses symbolizing potent auspicious powers and the perfection of beauty of the heart and mind. The lacquer is in exceptional original condition.

Antique Chinese agate snuff bottle with interesting "eye" pattern, red hard stone topper with braided metal band and finial. Size: 3.5" height, 2.25" width

Antique Chinese cloisonne box decorated with a beautiful floral pattern of chrysanthemums, peonies, and other flowers. The lid of the box is hinged, it has an auspicious symbol in the middle of the box. The box is supported by four small round metal feet, the underside is sky blue. The interior of the box is lined with wood and has two compartments. Republic Period (Circa 1912) It measures 5.75" deep 4" tall 9.25" wide.

Antique Chinese cloisonné round container with enamel floral and "Shou" designs. The top of the lid has a round, flat jade finial. The inside top and bottom of the container has a center lotus design with inlaid metal scrolling vine patterns upon light blue enamel. Republic Period (Circa 1912) Size: 7.5" height, 11" width

Antique Chinese jadeite carving of two identical furry critters, possibly foxes, curled together in a yin yang fashion. The jadeite has parts that are a glowing lavender with muted green areas. The carving is pierced through and may be worn as a pendant. Size: 2" width, .75" thickness

Antique Chinese round porcelain box with colorful enamel dragon and phoenix on the lid with gilt accenting, smoke and flame motifs decorating the body, with enamel wave design at the foot. Guangzu mark on bottom. Size: 5" height, 9" width

Antique Chinese blue and white porcelain gu (wine vessel) vase. Its sides are decorated with multiple panels depicting oceanside scenes, each section separated by a ring of swirling patterns. The bottom of the vase is marked with a double ring. Early Republic Period (circa 1910) Size: 16.5" height

Chinese jadeite belt hook carved with a chimera climbing on the body of a dragon with arching head, pale green tones in the head of the dragon turning into bright, luminescent apple green tones down the back of the chimera to the other end. Size: 5" length, 1" thick

Chinese soapstone carving of a scene from a folk tale: the famous Tang Dynasty poet, Meng Haoran (689-740) ventures out into the snow with his young attendant in search of plum blossoms in the snowy hills. In finding this hint of early spring, he hoped to find inspiration for his poems. They see an amazing plum tree starting it's bloom in the cold of late winter...

Chinese pair of silk rank badges, decorated with blue phoenix birds, applied all over with silver wrapped thread in designs of swirling clouds and the moon. The phoenix stands on a rock with crashing waves all around. 19th century. Framed. Size including frame: 24 1/2" wide x 12 1/2" high

A Chinese signed calligraphy poem on paper from the Republic period. This scroll is from the collection of the Hollywood actor James Coburn. The poem was written during the New Year of 1917. It expresses the budding of spring, possibly in relation to Sun Yat Sen, alluding to the beginning of the Republic of China. There are two red seals on the scroll. The image measures: 23.5" wide by 50" long.
