Antique Tibetan vajrakila phurba, a Buddhist sacred dagger "believed to be capable of transmuting vice and egocentrism into benevolent compassion. Antique 11th-15th century stone carving of Mahalakshmi on a lotus blossom. Mahalakshmi is depicted with eighteen arms bearing: a string of beads, battle axe, mace, arrow, thunderbolt, lotus, bow, water pot, cudgel, lance, sword, shield, conch, bell, wine cup, trident, noose and the discus sudarsana. This form of the goddess Lakshmi emerges to kill Mahishasura. Obtained in the 1960s in Kathmandu. The stone, without stand, measures 13" tall 2.75" deep 8" wide.
