Antique Korean headside chest called "morijang", made from gorgeous keyaki wood (elm), with dramatic grain on the front panels. Has four drawers along its top and two large hinged doors with original red paper on their inside, opening into the main compartment. Chest has brass hardware including butterfly shaped hinges with a large matching lock in its center and butterfly shaped handle backplates on the drawers. 19th century Size: 33" height, 41" width, 18.5" depth

Rare and beautiful Chinese temple cabinet, its style and form found in traditional Shanxi art, made from pine wood, with a continuous line of applied moulding along its top and sides, called ruyi lappets. Its inner border is decorated with taohuan panels, with detailed carvings of flowers, human figures, and various animals such as a rabbit, dog, and two scaled beasts.
