An antique Chinese Lingbi stone (scholar's rock or spirit stone) has a very distinct ring when it is struck. Scholar's rocks are appreciated for their unusual shapes, asymmetry, color and texture. Scholars refer to them as "bones of the earth". It is a carved blackish stone overhang with perforations. It set upon a contemporary Shuozhou style carved rosewood base with 4 rounded feet.

Chinese carved agate snuff bottle, one side has a fu-dog and a bat, the other side has an old man scholar sitting near a door in a stone wall and another bat, the agate is a pretty light yellowish orange color with white striations of which the figures are carved, lid is reddish orange agate, 20th century. Original shin-hanga woodblock print titled "Sacred Grove" by artist Tōshi Yoshida (1911-1995). It is a nature scene showing a red temple with golden doors and roof, partially obscured by trees. The forest floor is mossy and only a small bit of the sky peeks through the treetops. The print is framed behind glass with a large wooden border. American artist Guy Diehl, born in 1949 in Pennsylvania, is most famously known for his still life paintings and prints. Diehl's family moved to California in 1960, where he began taking courses in art at Diablo Valley College in 1968. He moved onto study under Mel Ramos, one of the originators of figurative pop art at Cal State University, Hayward. Diehl earned his master's degree from San Francisco State and graduated with honors in 1976...

Japanese 4-panel byobu folding screen, with a shochikubai or "Three Friends of Winter" motif (plum, pine, and bamboo), the image of a pheasant seated upon a jagged rock formation, with a small singing bird on the twisting trunk of the plum tree. The image was taken directly from a commemorative stamp which is affixed to the corner of the frame.

Chinese clock made of brass with cloisonne, six cloisonne columns, on the front behind glass is the clock face and a small oval shaped painting of a country scene with a lake and mountains with trees in the foreground, on either side of the clock are painted grecian style figures, a small oval plaque on the back is stamped with "Made in People's Republic of China", size 12" high. Size: 11 1/2" high x 8 3/4" wide x 4 1/2" deep.

Green jadeite ring with areas of beautiful deep green, set in an 18K yellow gold ring with incised lines that come to a triangular point. The inside of the band is inscribed with Chinese markings that have been partially worn away from use. 20th century Size: 2.25" length of entire ring, jadeite stone approx. .75" height, .5" width

Signed in pencil by Katsuyuki Nishijima (born 1945) and number 34 in series of 500. Has red oval seal indicating early works. Unframed.

Vintage Kazak hand-knoted wool rug with red and cream colored medallions on blue ground. The center is dominated by a striking blue and red design, the border complements the center with more light colors. Second half of the 20th century. It measures 84" by 68".
