Japanese two-section cha tansu (tea chest) with gorgeous burl wood front panels. The upper section has three sets of sliding door panels, two open shelved areas to display tea articles, and a single drawer, while the bottom section has one pair of larger sliding burl front panels, a small hinged door with tassel, and six drawers. Each set of sliding doors has a thin panel of wood on its bottom to create an interesting color contrast. Great original condition.

Antique Japanese Yamato or Ichimatsu-ningyo dolls. Typically depicting a girl or boy about six years of age dressed in traditional kimono. Ichimatsu - ningyo have been treasured for years as playthings and objects of beauty. This wonderful and excellent example of Ichimatsu-ningyo is vert charming with great attention to detail. Fitted naturally dyed kimono is traditionally worn and the doll stands upon a hardwood stand.

Chinese soapstone chop seal with three carved foo dogs standing on a pedestal. The carve work is beautiful and immaculate. The soapstone has a nice muted grey-green color with soft red and gold tone accents. The carved seal on the bottom has remnants of red pigment. Repulic period 20th century.
