Chinese cabinet from the Shandong province made from jumu wood (elm). The two front swinging doors open with brass pulls on long, brass panels. The shelved interior is very roomy. The sides of the cabinet have been lacquered in a muddled red.
Dates from the 19th century. Very difficult to get these pieces. No export out of China.

A large framed woodblock print by artist Ouchi Makoto (1926-1989). Ukiyo-e style images of fierce warriors and a demon appear in the two front paper blocks, and have kanji that has been cut from the tops. A beautiful maiden appears in the third block, while a large wave appears in the last, a nod to the famous woodblock artist Hokusai. Ouchi has created great depth with his techniques of color gradation, shading, and perspective. The piece is signed at the bottom in pencil, and numbered 5/60.

Gorgeous Chinese jade plaque set within a zitan wood stand, carved with an abundance of dragons and spiral/wave motifs. The backside of the jade is smooth with three gilt painted dragons.

A Chinese landscape painting on gold paper by a student of Zhang Da Qian, Sun Yun Sen. A scene of a pair of scholars in a mountain setting, a bridge over a river and a rural mountain village. Painted in ink with beautiful use of wet on wet technique in blue and green mineral colors. Zhang Da Qian established a style influenced from traditional Chinese landscape paintings combined with Song Dynasty style ink wash landscapes. Age: 20th century

His bottoms have been glazed in blue with green and yellow star patterns and a red sash. The bottom has been engraved "Fujian Huiguan" (Fujian Club), "Jing De Zhen made". Dates from the 19th century
