Vintage Japanese conch shell horn, known as a horagai or a jinkai depending on its usage. The horagai has been used in Buddhist practice for over one thousand years. The jinkai was used as a battle signal by samurai trumpeters called kai yaku. The shell has a bronze mouthpiece and decorative purple tassles. Early 20th century Size: 6" height, 16.5" length,

Tibetan cabinet with wonderful painted front panels of various beasts roaming grassy plains, some with piles of fruit around them, each panel has a red border with green swirl designs. The cabinet's frame is a lovely deep red hardwood, painted with flowers on creeping vines. Early 20th century Size: 44" height, 40.5" width, 19" depth

Carving of a Chinese scholar made from dark hardwood with lighter orange highlighted areas, his eyes closed as if in deep meditation. He sits with one leg curled underneath himself, his left arm rested upon a carved stool or small table, with the face of a beast. He holds a scroll in his hand and appears to be making a Buddhist mudra gesture with the same hand. Size: 10" height, 6.5" width
