Antique Chinese 3 piece textile set with table apron panel and 2 chair coverings. Made of beautifully embroidered shi-shi dog (gold lion) with flames, clouds, peony, and bamboo on blue silk. Overall good condition with some loose gold thread and slight discoloration. Chair coverings backed by cinnabar linen. Table apron measures 40" wide by 32" long. The 2 chair coverings measure 20.5" wide x 65" long. Beautifully embroidered gold lion with flames, peony, bamboo, peony, bamboo, fungus ruyi, with auspicious buddhist symbols, bats, lotus flower with scrolling vines, and waves with balls of fire rising above a sacred mythological landscape. Wonderfully embroidered with blues, greens, blacks, red, orange. The shi shi dog is holding a ball. All over slight wear and loses. Backed by coarse cinnabar linen.
