| Antique Japanese Noh mask of Okame, Signed on the back by Hanyu Mitsunaga-Artist specializing in Noh Masks, Nohmenshi. Born in Tokyo, produced masks late 19th through early 20th century, exclusively produces masks for the Kanze-ryu of Noh theater. Hanyu Mitsunaga’s works are part of the collection of the Tokyo Oume Nishiwake-cho district Hayashi-ren (festival group). Some restoration. The Otafuku mask is mainly used in Hayashi-ren which are groups that specialize in performing for local summer and autumn festivals which are seen often in the countryside in Japan.
