Antique fluted large Imari porcelain vase with decorations of peony flowers and a few beasts in a landscape setting with hoju or magical jewel. The vase is shaped in the manner of a bag, a common motif seen in Japanese ceramics, where the bag is an auspicious symbol of abundance and fortune. The vase decoration is done in the Kinrande style decoration where gold color is added to a white base with blue and red (or other colors) motifs, the style is often seen in Imari ware.
