Antique bronze Tibetan buddha seated on a double lotus throne. The buddha has his hair in small round coils typical of the Indian style. His robes are very lightweight with simple embroidery along the hem. The back of the base has inscription. Acquired in the 1960s in Katmandu, the figure bears the original wax seal from when it was exported. Dates from the 15th century. It measures 4" wide 2" deep 4.75" tall.
