Antique silver container with fitted lid obtained in the 1960s from Kathmandu. The body is intricately decorated with animals and natural elements. The lid of the piece resembles a cupola. there is a bird like head on top of a dragon like head that has it's mouth open with more heads coming out. The top also has a lizard. the bottom has human arms that embrace the container, between the hands reads an inscription. The interior is unfinished. There is a hole in the bottom where a plug may once have been. It measures 8" long 3.5" tall, diameter of opening 1.75".
