|A small Japanese bamboo case in the form known as kikko-chiku or bamboo shaped in the form of turtle shells. This formation comes from a genetic morph. Artists in Kyoto harvest this type of bamboo and fire them for polishing, known as kyo-meichiku. The bamboo case comes with an ojime like bead carved in the form of a bamboo basket with a fish and octopus sticking out from the basket. Age: 19th century Size: length 8" diameter .75"|
