Wonderful Chinese untreated jadeite carving of a woman on a horse (possibly Xia Guan), playing a four-stringed instrument called a pipa, riding on the back of a horse being led by a small child. There are prominent apple green highlights in the horse's hooves and child's feet and also running along the woman's front and back. The jadeite comes with a carved hardwood stand (possibly huanghuali) with a beautiful woodgrain. Qing Dynasty/early 20th century Size: (carving) 4.5" height, 4.5" length (stand) 5.25" length, 3.5" width
