Japanese three section clothing tansu (uawaoki tsuki isho kasane tansu) made from kiri (paulownia) wood. It has simple cast iron hardware, its topmost section has two sliding doors with a shelved interior and three small drawers below with round locks and warabite handles. The middle section has two large hinged doors, with two handles mounted on iron plating, pierced with designs of flowers and fenghuang/phoenixes flying opposite each other. Inside are three large sliding shelves. The bottommost section has two large drawers, the interior of each is very roomy with very attractive woodgrain.
