Japanese single section cha tansu (tea chest), made with all keyaki (elm) wood on the front with beautiful burl grain. The top portion of the chest has a compartment with four sliding panels. The middle portion of the chest has a large display compartment covered with two glass sliding panels. Inside are two smaller compartments with wooden slider for storage, three different display shelves and a slide out tray. The bottom portion of the chest has a medium sized compartment with wooden sliders. Also there is a horizontal row of three drawers and a vertical row of three curve-faced drawers. Taisho Period.
