Francis Moltino (British, fl. 1847-1867)

Concentrating on coastal scenes, Moltino’s preferred subjects were the Isle of Wight and the tidal Thames. At the end of his career he also traveled and painted in Venice. He exhibited in London. The British Institution; Society of British Artists, Suffolk Street and the Royal Academy were all venues for his exhibitions. More specifically, his works were shown by the Royal Academy from 1848-1855.

He is listed in Dictionary of British Art, Vol. IV, Victorian Painters by Woods and British 19th Century Marine Painting by Brook-Hart.
