Set of three architecturals in silver frames from the scarcer Danish edition of Campbell's "Vetruvius Britannicus" portraying Danish city halls from the mid 1700's. These 18th century copperplate engravings are very graphic and excellent for wall display. They are large - 21.5" wide by 29" tall - and framed with conservation materials.

Original hand-colored lithographs of French military uniforms for the period 1791-1814 by Carl Vernet, published in Paris 1822. These early lithographs are very colorful each looking like an original drawing; many of the figures are on horseback, and the horses themselves are beautifully drawn. A rare set of four rare urns. Four early tassa style urns on Grecian pedestals with fantastical "cornucopia" ears - horns overflowing with fruit in an ornately interwoven design. The bowls have egg and dart rims and scalloped undersides. The urns - all one piece - sit on classic early Grecian plinths; the whole beautifully proportioned. Probably ca 1860. This terracotta figure of a cymbal player is modelled on the seventeenth century original in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. It is a figure seen in many garden settings since the 1700's. This is an American version in terracotta ca 1930; an identical one is pictured in Barbara Israel's book (p 142, fig. 2.19). Fine terracotta birdbath with wonderful patina, nineteenth century. Consists of draped puti with raised arms supporting bowl on head. 34" high; basin 12" diameter; base 9" in diameter. Some chipping at edge of bowl, otherwise excellent.

French urn with graciously curved scalloped underside and foliate handles set on a large plinth each side of which features the sculpted profile of 2 beautiful women (the faces are repeated on opposite sides). In terracotta it is in 3 pieces the bowl, bowl support and plinth. Wonderfully weathered surface; some wear at the top of the bowl support. Overall height 40.5"; urn height 15";urn width 29"; pedestal height 25.5"; pedestal base 18" square;

Intricately designed American cast iron garden chairs ca 1890. Stamped on back as "Betsy Ross Chair", this is a design not found in Europe and one of the most complex patterns in cast iron garden furniture. These chairs have been stripped, rustproofed and repainted. Each is 32.5" high, 25.5" wide; seat height is 17", seat depth 15". Condition is excellent.
