| These charming lithographs of French military uniforms were published in Paris in 1821 and executed by the Vernets and Eugene Lami. They are both historically accurate and visually compelling. Their painterly quality comes from the skillful use of the new medium of lithography, accompanied by hand color, to render dramatic rather than static illustrations. Each is 6.5" x 9.5".
