| Original hand-colored lithographs of French military uniforms for the period 1791-1814 by Carl Vernet, published in Paris 1822. These early lithographs are very colorful each looking like an original drawing; many of the figures are on horseback, and the horses themselves are beautifully drawn. Vernet was a horse lover as well as a military artist; it was he who introduced the "English sport" of horse racing to France. Conservation framed in black and gold with french matting.
