| ....LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING! This is a very scarce 1880 $400 REWARD CDV of W. T. HANLEY, a WANTED MURDERER! The verso has a most interesting description of him. He is accused of murdering M. K. SHIVELEY, at CHAMBERSBURG, OHIO on DECEMBER 25, 1879. Notice that the reward has been DOUBLED TO $400.00, as he was considered extremely dangerous. Mr. Hanley is described as FEMININE IN APPEARANCE, and has TWO UPPER FRONT FALSE TEETH. Although 5'10" tall, he only weighed 130 pounds. He wore a size 6 boot. He had blue eyes, light hair and was well dressed. The Commissioners of Gallia County and the Gallia County Lodge No. 469 F & A.M. agreed to pay the reward.
