| The ANTIKAMNIA COMPANY was founded in SAINT LOUIS, MISSOURI in 1890. It has often been described as a PSEUDO-ETHICAL PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY. This very scarce PHYSICIAN'S SAMPLE KIT contains four different TINS. Each is marked SAMPLE. It was a promotional given to physicians around 1900-1910. The tins are hinged, and function well. They are affixed to the kit. TIN #1 is ANTIKAMNIA. TIN #2 is ANTIKAMNIA & CODEINE. TIN #3 is ANTIKAMNIA & QUININE. TIN #4 is ANTIKAMNIA & SALOL. Each tin is 1.75"x1". No contents. The leather kit is 4.75" x 2.25" closed. Notice the company logo "AK" on the snap closure. This company was often in trouble with the FDA due to concerns about the contents and labeling of their products.
