| This outstanding eight-sided cobalt blue poison bottle is embossed TEASDALE CHLORODYNE. It is 5" tall and dates to c1880. This remedy contained LAUDANUM (OPIUM), CANNABIS and CHLOROFORM. It was originally promoted as a treatment for cholera, and the list was later expanded to include diarrhea, cough, migraine headache--just about everything! Of course, it was highly addictive, and many deaths were attributed to it. We note no chips or cracks in this outstanding example of an early patent medicine.
