Fine old Arts and Crafts period handwrought copper vase by well-known San Francisco
metalsmith, Dirk Van Erp. This piece dates to about 1915 - 1918 and has his famous 'windmill' mark
stamped on the bottom. The mark is an open-box version with remnants of "D'ARCY GAW" above the words,
"DIRK VAN ERP". In addition, the open part of the box has the slight"hook" on the lower line, and the words, "SAN FRANCISCO" are stamped below the windmill mark ...click for details
