Fine Italian impressionist painting by Gino Albieri (1881-1949) of men gathered inside an Islamic Mosque. This work is painted with oils on a mahogany panel and mounted in it's original heavy carved and gilded Italian wood frame. The painting dates to about the 1910 - 1920 period. It is signed by the artist, on the front, lower right, "G. Albieri". In addition, there is some faded writing on the back of the panel which I can not read, but have pictured (see photo). ...click for details
