This is an adorable petite commode made at the beginning of the 20th century and originally from Paris highlighted by a marvelous mahogany veneer. The serpentine top is embellished with inlaid acanthus patterns made from rosewood veneer and contoured by a brass border. This piece is topped by its original serpentine-shaped and beveled yellow brocatelle marble (Originally from Jura, France) sitting upon an elegant façade featuring at total of 7 drawers, each featuring its original bronze acanthus-shaped handles and escutcheons. This is a handsome set featuring a pair of side chairs, a pair of armchairs and a single bergere made from lime tree at the beginning of the 19th century. Each is simply adorned with floral patterns and covered by a beginning of the 20th century upholstery, which must be replaced. A couple of flower head molding are missing on one chair and on the bergere but they can be easily be replaced by our team our professional cabinetmaker. Circa date 1800.
