| Here is a very nice pair of armchairs made by the end of the 19th century from solid walnut and covered by dark burgundy upholstery, which is estimated to be 5 years old, and in overall good condition. The slight serpentine-shaped seatback is adorned with a detailed crest centering a shell flanked by acanthus leaves and stands upon the large seat in between a pair of simply scrolled padded armrests, all supported by cabriole legs. The finish on this pair on this pair is not original and is kind of glossy. This pair is for sale as is. Circa date 1890. Dimensions 40”high/ 16”seat height/ 26”wide/ 22”deep. | |||||||||||||
