| Most likely, Ingrid made this lovely piece for her trousseau! Her stitches are so perfect...heavily padded and precise embroidery and button hole stitching.Her name, Ingrid, is beautifully executed with flair for such tiny lettering. The open end has scalloped edges, again heavily padded button hole stitches. Then there are 12 additions of button hole stitch to run a ribbon through to tie it together,so it could hang from her bed post protecting her night dress! The sides are french seamed. The antique linen, of course is wonderfully cool and drapey. It seems never to have been used, but is now freshly laundered for you. I photographed it with a vintage ecru night gown in it and a piece of ribbon to give you the look. Of course this makes a fab pillow. Who ever thought recycling would be such fun!
