| The best I've found! This Swiss horse hide and saddle leather backpack made by J Koch& Sohne, is in wonderful condition.It has sturdy,heavy leather trim and all kinds of straps and buckles with the expected metal button attachments. It also has the matching salt and pepper canvas "bread bag" used to contain provisions, which has leather strapped buckles to attach it to the inside as well as other areas of the pack, and a canvas shoulder strap. Quite handsome! The only repair I've seen is a metal hook attached to the back right strap in place of a buckle (shown in last photo). (I love handmade repairs...gives such personality!) This is slightly open but can be closed to attach it permanently if wanted. All is in excellent condition for its ageand of course the leather can be saddle soaped to revive if desired.
