| This nightgown is divine! If it fit me, I would be wearing it right now ! The linen is so fine and drapey,very light weight batiste. The ecru lace has hand embroidered design on machine net. The left shoulder is adorned with a beautiful oval of ribbonwork rosettes,and drawnwork,embroidery, and 35 rows of pin tucking across the front....ALL by hand! This collector piece is to be admired but also enjoyed in the best sense...if you ever sleep in fine antique linen, then you know what I mean. It's in wonderful condition, but for a small tear 5" above the back hem.There is still a slight sign of the blue marking under the embroidery, I think this gown was seldom worn. I purchased it as is (washed),and am selling it as is. I estimate the size as Large, measuring 43" around the bust and 85" from top of shoulder to hem. I love wonderful vintage lingerie, however this is in a class by itself! | ||
