| This breathtaking pin/pendant was made by Robert Wander, a third generation jeweler who studied in Paris. He oversaw the precious jewelry departments at the Sakowitz luxury department stores in Texas before they closed. Many of my current clients remember him as "Bobby", the master jeweler of their time. His pieces were innovative and evoked earlier etruscan designs before it was the style trend. His works are comparable to David Webb, Schepps, and other contemporaries of the 60's. This pin is 2 1/2" long x 2 1/2" wide x 1/2" thick and is hand constructed with 18K gold and pave diamond accents totally 1. 3 carats. The pin has a bale so it can be worn as an enhancement on pearls or by itself. It is in excellent condition and is hallmarked "Wander Paris" on the reverse. It also bears the French cartouche for 18k. It's a fine piece from a prominent Dallas society collection. It weighs 49 grams. | |||||||||
