Elsa Freund "Elsaramics" Modernist Necklace & Earrings
This rare necklace and earrings set is from the talented hands of Elsa Freund. She is considered one of the most important and influential female jewelers in the modernist jewelry movement. Her trademark is the use of "Elsa-ramics" which are glazed ceramic beads with fused glass collected from broken bottles and windows. The necklace is approximately 15" long, and the removable pendant is 2" long x 2" wide. The matching clip earrings are approximately 1 1/4" long x 1" wide. The set is made from twisted and hammered sterling silver, and the original clip mechanism are chrome plated metal. The set is in excellent condition, and the necklace is signed "Elsa" (earrings are unsigned).
