| Vishnu, a major god in Hinduism and Indian mythology, is depicted on these mid-20th century shutters from the Indian state of Rajasthan. The god is shown in traditional fashion, with four arms and holding four symbolic items--a conch shell, lotus, wheel and mace. The decorative interior shutters have iron hinges, hasp and chain. When used as wall art, the shutter can be hung in one piece or the sides separated and hung as two single pieces. The shutters are in very good condition. Dimensions: height 20" (51 cm), width 16" (41 cm). | |||||||
